Welcome to Doctrinal Bible Church.  We are pleased that you have taken the time to visit with us.  My name is Buddy Peake and I am the Pastor Teacher of Doctrinal Bible Church (DBC).

The ministry began in 1981 in a home Bible study. DBC has met in rental facilities until this year (2004). The Father has provided our church family with a wonderful permanent facility located at 1215 Russell Street. Our church family has been faithful to the concept of growing in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore accommodations were never an issue.

Acts 2:42 "They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

Eph 4:11-13 "It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

2 Tim. 3:16 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."

A careful study of these passages demonstrates what the thrust of the local church should be. We strive to adhere to these principles by emphasizing the teaching of biblical principles. It is God's system for the spiritual growth of the individual believer. Apart from reaching spiritual maturity the believer cannot discover God's Will for their life and reach that destiny He holds for them. Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." God gives in grace and we must receive in Grace. We were purchased with a price and ear-marked for the execution of His Will in the same manner as our example, His Son Jesus Christ.
